A lovely break. Perfect cottage, beautifully clean and well equipped. Comfy bed. Contacting the hosts was easy and everything went smoothly. Location excellent, with nice (steep) stroll to the beach. I would highly recommend.
We stayed at Admirals Cottage at the start of September 2020.
The accommodation was excellent, located within The Bay Filey resort. The cottage was bright and relaxing for a lovely holiday. The accommodation had everything we needed and was very well appointed. The cottage was very clean and extra efforts had been made to ensure everything was ready and prepared in line with COVID requirements.
The owners provided detailed information in advance and responded quickly to any queries we had before arriving.
We had a lovely time in the cottage, and it was a great base for exploring Filey. The accommodation was really of a great standard and was ideally placed in the middle of the Bay resort, just a couple of minutes from the cafe/bar and close to the other facilities. The beach is just a ten minute walk away. We ate in the bar/restaurant one evening for dinner and one morning for breakfast and the food and service were great both times.
I would highly recommend the cottage - it has everything needed for a holiday break and is extremely well appointed.
This cottage was lovely, very clean and perfect for our short stay in Filey. The beach was lovely and safe for my daughter to play in the sea. Communication with the owners was excellent and very responsive. Admirals cottage had everything we needed and we would love to visit again in the future when everything is fully up and running after Covid 19.
Me and my family have just returned from another wonderful stay at Admirals Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated and immaculate and contains everything you could possibly need. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome pack, containing wine, coffee/tea, cookies, sweets and even dog treats.
Visiting during the 2020 Covid 19 pandemic the owners had gone above and beyond to make the property as safe as possible, with extra deep cleaning and sanitising between stays. This property was really well set up to re-open after Coronavirus lockdown.
We will definitely return again to stay at Admirals Cottage in the near future.
Myself and my family (2 adults 2 children 13 & 10) and 1 dog(Boxer) have just returned from a 4 night stay at Admirals Cottage when we first arrived we was welcomed with a wonderful welcome pack, sweets for the children, treats for our pooch, bottle of wine, milk, bread, cookies, crisps. A beautifully decorated cottage with everything you could need, the whole surrounding was idyllic and a peaceful break away.
We booked Admirals cottage for a last minute weekend family break to celebrate my birthday.
We couldn't have asked for a better house or location. A definite home from home so close to Filey, Scarborough & Bridlington. We had a fabulous time and our daughter had 5 trips to the pool. Hopefully we will return.
A really fantastic cottage that suited us perfectly. Clean, comfortable with a welcome basket of simply goodies and everything from fast wi fi to a selection of books, dvds and games for inclement weather. You have to go offsite for a decent shop as the pharmacy/shop is closed at weekends but filey is five minutes down the road with everything you need. Cottage is near to the beach (a short walk with amazing views) and has access to great leisure facilities. We will be back.
This was our forth visit to The Bay. By far this was the most impressive accommodation we had stayed in. Admirals cottage was situated in a quiet yet central location on the complex which was great for our young family. The owners had really thought of everything and clearly wanted us to feel relaxed in our home away from home - everything had been taken care of even milk and bread! The welcome basket a lovely surprise on arrival to the cottage. We would recommend this stunning property 100% and hope to be back with our newest addition soon.

Beautiful, well equipped cottage perfect for our short stay with our 5 month old baby. The cottage provided a high chair and travel cot which greatly helped with luggage. Situated on a lovely resort with fantastic facilities and the leisure centre was a life saver when it rained (which it did a LOT!). If only Stephen and Lucy could provide the weather too! Would highly recommend (in fact I already have to some friends). Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
We stayed at Admirals Cottage at the weekend and we absolutely loved it! It is a beautiful, well equipped and luxurious home from home with all the facilities you need and more. We arrived to find lots of treats and everything we needed for our first evening, milk ,bread, tea, coffee, sugar as well as a supply of condiments etc. (And wine!)The attention to detail is excellent and we will certainly be booking again in the future. Stephen and Lucy were friendly and very helpful throughout the booking process and when we needed help when we got there. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to feel pampered on either a short or long break. Thank you Stephen and Lucy!

This was our 3rd stay at The Bay and Admirals Cottage is far the best we have stayed at. It is a very modern and homely cottage. Everything you could wish for and the treats were a lovely touch there were even treats for the dogs which they enjoyed too. We had a weekend break and the weather proved better than expected. The onsite pub and Italian serve nice food in friendly surroundings. We look forward to returning next year

Lovely holiday cottage - we really enjoyed our stay. Perfect for day trips to Filey, Scarborough, Bridlington, Sewerby etc. The cottage felt very homely is clearly well looked after. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped.

What a truely amazing cottage!! Beds made up on arrival, beautiful towels on beds, hairdryers in each bedroom.....welcome pack of , biscuits, crisps, sweets, wine....And treats for your dog!!😀😉

Everything is in a file about electric appliances etc!.....You have got to stay here..you certainly won't be disappointed!!

Booked a very last minute stay and booking and paying was quick and efficient, and all emails answered immediately. Arrived on a cold day to a lovely warm house with a wonderful welcome pack. The house is well set out and contains everything you could ever need yet close enough to the pub so as not to have to cook. Overall a wonderful stay will return and recommend

Lovely Welcoming Cottage
We have stayed at the bay 4 times now and this is the best property we have stayed in. Very nice layout and very clean home from home really.Really nice touch with the welcome pack . We would love to come back at some point a big thank you from us all.
Lovely cottage in a great location. There was everything in there that we needed.
We had a wonderful stay with my 87 year old dad, teenage son and our dog. Every single one of us enjoyed it. There is plenty to do on site and the beach is fantastic for all including the dog. We would definitely stay there again. The cottage is in a great location and has everything you could wish for and was very clean. The welcome hamper and treats were extremely well received. Even the dog got a treat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay at The Bay.

Plenty to do at the Bay. Beach - 10 min. walk away. Indoor swimming pool to use and also hired bikes. Filey was lovely/.
FANTASTIC COTTAGE IN GREAT LOCATION
We had a fantastic week in Filey, the weather held most of the time - well we are in England !
The cottage is lovely, very clean and well presented with quality furnishings and fittings.
There are patio windows which open onto a courtyard where we often sat out at the table there.
Ample parking onsite, usually right outside the cottage .
It is very well located only 10 mins walk from a quiet secluded beach only accessed through The Bay site.
There is a good pub onsite serving excellent meals at reasonable prices, we ate there several times! Next to the pub is Lorenzos,an Italian that serves as a café through the day and a Pizzeria at night, again good food or just a coffee served as well as breakfast.
There is also a small chemists that stock some essentials as well as dispensary etc.
There are several activities onsite ( at extra cost ) including Archery which we thoroughly enjoyed
There is a large Tesco in Filey for supplies and in Filey itself there are a number of restaurants in particular San Marco deserves special mention as their food is superb and not overpriced, although I would advise booking as they get full very quickly even on weekdays.
St Oswald's church is well worth a visit - parts of it dates to the 12th century AD.
Just down the road Hunmanby is a quaint little village with several shops and pubs and another old church !
Bempton Cliffs off the road to Bridlington is a must, we saw several Puffins nesting as well as Gannets,Shags,Guillemots and Kittiwake.
We also took the ' Yorkshire Belle' from Bridlington harbour which does a 3 1/2 hour cruise to Filey bay taking in the foot of Bempton Cliffs which are some 400 ft. high.
Altogether I can definitely recommend Admirals Cottage - you will not be disappointed!
Superb Cottage!
We booked this cottage last minute for the weekend. The instructions were simple and easy to follow and the cottage itself when we arrived was lovely. You could tell that the cottage had recently undergone some refurbishment and felt at home instantly.
A lovely touch from the owners was that fresh bread and milk was left and also a little hamper with sweets, crisps, biscuits and some wine! Much more than expected. There were a few condiments like ketchup, brown sauce, tea, coffee & sugar.
I cannot praise this place enough and have already recommended to others.
